Last year I had been lucky to be part of several very fun ‘surprise weddings’- Alanna and Luke’s intimate wedding at The Social Club was one of them.
Alanna and Luke had built a great life together over many years and already had a young family. Although their life seemed complete already, they thought it would be great to have their closest friends and family be part of a celebration of their commitment to each other. Rather than making a big deal of planning a big wedding, they decided to surprise everyone and tie the knot at their engagement party.
The moment of surprise for everyone came mid-engagement party when Alanna appeared, arm in arm with her beaming father - in her wedding dress.
In a double surprise plot twist, Alanna's best friend discovered she was the bridesmaid as Alanna walked down the aisle and handed her a bouquet.
Tookie Capezio officiated a heartfelt ceremony which felt just right for these two.
