Boathouse Canberra Wedding
Simone and Matt’s wedding day was nothing short of magical. After getting ready at home with their families, we all met at the Angel of the North Statue at the NGA Sculpture Gardens for their First Look where Matt saw Simone for the first time. He looked like he could barely hold back tears. We had a great time exploring the gardens and incredible buildings around the NGA to the tune of Frank Sinatra.
Cherry Farm Wedding Young
I had the absolute pleasure of travelling to Young to shoot the wedding of Hannah and Hamish, held at the groom’s family cherry farm. Their closest family and friends travelled from around the globe to be there with them on the occasion, and I felt so lucky to be able to be present to soak up and capture all the feels during this epic love fest.

Nikki & Mariah / Parlour Room Wedding
Nikki and Mariah’s heartfelt wedding day in New Acton was one of my favourites.
In true Nikki and Mariah fashion, we threw tradition out the window and structured the day in a way that worked for them. They got ready together, and we started with some portraits at Ovolo Nishi with their favourite girl- their adopted greyhound named Polly (who donned a floral neckpiece from Spiral Botanicals for the occasion.). Any time spent with a fur baby on a wedding day is a huge treat for me so I had a ball!
We then went into family photos, and followed by exploring Nishi New Acton for some arty, creative portraits with the Brides. How epic are their crimson, blush, tangerine toned bouquets from Spiral Botanicals?
Gold Creek Station Wedding
Nina and Gareth's Gold Creek Station wedding really showcased their creativity and love of all things bespoke. A standout feature of their wedding was the array of homegrown flowers they used for the reception and bouquet. Not often you see a reception styled with wedding flowers from the couple’s garden!
1920s Inspired Pialligo Estate Wedding
I was super excited when Dan and Trent told me that they were going to have a vintage 1920s jazz age - inspired wedding and they wanted me to be part of it.
We started out with portraits in New Acton with Dan and Trent, plus their ‘I do crew’. We explored Ovolo Nishi, had drinks at Parlour Dining, and had fun taking portraits that looked like they belonged on a Vanity Fair cover.
The entire day was immaculately styled, with two very well dapper grooms, their well dressed guests, and their labrador Loki, gathering in the Olive Grove at Pialligo estate to celebrate the pair followed by a reception at Pialligo Fields
Steph & Scott / Surprise Backyard Wedding
Steph and Scott had been planning a housewarming for their stunning new home in Googong, when they decided to turn it into a wedding ceremony and surprise the hell out of their housewarming guests. I was delighted to come along for the ride!

Claire and Tom / Poachers Pantry Wedding Canberra
Claire and Tom’s Summer wedding at Poachers Pantry pwas the last wedding before I went on maternity leave, and I couldn’t think of a better way to wrap up my wedding season.
The day was full of laughs and bursting with amazing energy as these two tied the knot surrounded by all of their favourite people (not to be taken for granted after two years of COVID related travel restrictions!). I photographed Claire’s sister Grace’s wedding a couple of years ago and seeing the Terry family again was so nice. The gorgeous wedding party and incredible venue styling (by Two Wild Hearts Co. and The Prop Smith) were such a treat to photograph - I had to keep wiping the drool off my chin.
Grazing Gundaroo Wedding
Zac and Tara’s wedding day at Grazing Gundaroo was bursting with energy, love, and laughter, and ended with some pretty impressive dance moves from wedding party and guests. This is how I saw the day unfold…
Alice and David // St John's Anglican Church and Muse Bookstore Wedding
Alice and David’s wedding day was really another really special one. There were some date changes and nail biting accompanying the logistics of event (in true 2020 fashion), but when it came together it was just perfect.
They chose one of my favourite venues for a wedding reception- Muse bookstore in Kingston. So intimate and full of character, the space suited them to a tee.

Intimate micro wedding at HQ Thirty Four Canberra / Mickey and Aaron
Mickey and Aaron had their wedding date fall in the tricky Canberra lockdown period at the end of September 2021. Instead of postponing like many couples did during this time, they decide to redesign their day and have an intimate wedding of 10 guests - a ‘microwedding’.
HQ Thirty Four was the perfect space for the occasion, and what a treat it was to spend some time there capturing the love between the couple and their families.

NGA Sculpture Garden Marquee Wedding
Like many couples in 2020, Polly and Sander threw away the rule book and got hitched their own way. They had their stylish wedding reception at the National Gallery of Australia Sculpture Garden Marquee with an intimate group of their closest friends and family- and then a week later, they flew to Melbourne and had their registry ‘ceremony’- then left Australia a week after that to start their new lives in China. Never a dull moment with those two!
Senate Rose Gardens / Evie and Rob Small Wedding
At the start of a beautiful Canberra Autumn, Rob and Evie tied the knot at the gorgeous rose gardens at the grounds of Old Parliament House, surrounded by a close knit group of family and friends. They had a beautifully intimate reception at Lamsheds restaurant in Yarralumla (by the way, that place is just incredible, I booked a table for date night the next week before I left!)
Scroll to the bottom of the post for a list of the wonderful vendors from the day.
National Arboretum Elopement / Delaney and Ryan
Delaney and Ryan had their intimate elopement last year, accompanied by a very excited baby James. We had an adventure exploring Nishi / New Acton as well as the National Arboretum, where they had their formal ceremony, presided over by the awesome Annie from Aisle Meets Annie.
Celebrant : Aisle Meets Annie
Ceremony location: Margaret Whitlam Pavilion, at the National Arboretum Canberra
Makeup : Steph Church Makeup
National Portrait Gallery Wedding / Grace & Tim
Tim and Grace had a cracker of a wedding at the end of 2020 surrounded by lots of family and friends (thankfully at that stage restrictions were fairly minimal in Canberra).
One of the highlights for me was rendition of “My Heart Will Go On’ (Titanic) by Tim and his best man on some sort of home made flute; the atmosphere set by the swaying lights held up by the guests (via their phones- candles were too much of a fire hazard I suspect).
Hayley and Tom // Parlour Room Nishi Wedding
Hayley and Tom, like many of the couples during this interesting year, had to rethink their wedding plans after COVID lockdown measures were announced. They went from a big Hunter Valley wedding to a more smaller wedding closer to home. After months of uncertainty, the situation improved in Canberra, and everything just fell into place perfect for their wedding day. They said that they actually preferred the intimacy of a smaller wedding.
